The Oscar 2012 winners has been announced on the Academy awards event on Sunday FEBRUARY 26 2012 The winners was nominated right after the red carpet ceremony. According to the official program of the Oscar 2012 awards:

“THE 84th ACADEMY AWARDS®” – Billy Crystal returns for his ninth time as host of “The 84th Academy Awards,” celebrating the outstanding film achievements of 2011 televised live by the ABC Television Network and in more than 225 countries worldwide. Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Emma Stone and the cast of “Bridesmaids” are among the presenters. The 84th Academy Awards telecast producers are Brian Grazer and Don Mischer. 5:30 p.m., PT/ 8:30 p.m., ET.

The "Oscar Sunday" for the academy awards for 2012 in on the 26th of February. The 84th Academy Awards ceremony takes place in the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, and will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide. The two main events of the Academy awards are the "OSCARS RED CARPET LIVE" event, where all the stars will walk down the red carpet to the main hall of the event and the nominations of the awards right after that.

The host for 84th academy awards (Oscars 2012) is Billy Crystal.
He has already hosted the Academy Awards 9 times, and has taken over the hosting of the 84th Awards after the resignation of Eddie Murphy.
