It's New Year's Eve! It's eggnog time!
12 big fresh farm egg (yolks)
1 pound sugar
1/4 whole milk
1/4 heavy whipped cream
1 lt good quality bourbon or spiced rum (or both)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1. Beat yolks and sugar in a large bowl until creamy.
2. Stir in milk, salt and bourbon or rum.
3. Chill well for 3-4 hours.
4. Fold in whip cream before serving.
5. Serve chilled on the rocks, with freshly ground nutmeg.
