Easter poems

Poems for Easter:

Easter Everywhere

Rabbits soft and cuddly
Baby chickens, too.
Easter eggs for baskets
White and pink and blue.
Easter cards of greeting,
Music in the air,
Lilies just to tell us
It's Easter everywhere.

Easter Surprise

Easter eggs,
Yellow and blue,
Easter eggs,
For me and you.

Easter eggs,
Candy sweet,
Easter eggs,
Are good to eat.

Easter eggs,
Pretty and funny,
But...
WHERE OH WHERE IS THE EASTER BUNNY?

Easter Love

On Easter we celebrate love,
love coming down from heaven,
love blanketing the earth

The meaning of Easter

The true meaning of Easter:

Son of God

Gone home to rest

At the right hand of the Father

Three days prior

Put to the test

And crucified with two others

Forgive them Father

Is what he prayed

For they know not what they do

I leave here and come home today

So my promises can come true

This is what Easter truly is

A reflection of sacrifice

How Jesus came and spoke of glory

And then laid down his life

Eternity is the gift he gave

With blood and tears and pain

His earthly life was lost upon the cross

But our salvation we did gain.
